9. Just the Facts: Clearly and concisely state the facts, make it easy to read.

. Self Assessment: Before you begin, know who you are and what you want the resume to portray.

. Linkage: You must approach your job search with a specific game plan.

Positive Thinking: If you do not think positively, you will not succeed at your job search.
5. Accomplishments: State what you accomplished using action verbs in past tense. Do not restate the job description.
4. FAT:
 F – Focus on the facts.
 A – Accomplishments are the proof of the pudding. Have you done what you say you can do.
 T – Tidy, the resume must be well organized, easy to read, has sufficient white space, delivers essential information in a 20 second overview.
3. Summary: A 50 to 100 word dissertation of what you bring to the job.
2. Introduction: The resume is your introduction to a third party on paper.
1. Objective: The most important part of the resume is the objective, it must state the exact job title for which you are asking to interview.
