We simply could not run CAM without our volunteers! There are many
opportunities to volunteer including a beautiful
resale shop, a very busy donation area, a food pantry, and an assistance office. Whatever
your talent, whatever your time frame, CAM would be very grateful to have you!
The Cellar
Volunteers are always needed to help process community donations in The Cellar. CAM
receives hundreds of items a day in our busy intake area. Volunteers are needed to sort,
clean, hang and tag in this busy environment and have a great time doing it!
Food Pantry
You can help fulfill a familys most basic need by volunteering in the food pantry.
The food pantry needs help stocking shelves, packing groceries and picking up donations of
bread and other food from grocery stores and restaurants.
The Special Delivery program, serving seniors and the disabled, rely on volunteer drivers
to deliver groceries and check in with clients once a month. This is a great way to make a
difference by visiting with clients face to face and ensure that they are doing well.
Assistance Office
Volunteers are needed to provide office support in the main office and the Operation Jobs
office. Opportunities include making follow up calls for Operation Jobs, contacting local
merchants about job openings and taking care of miscellaneous promotional activities when
needed. Especially needed are bilingual volunteers who are willing to receive training to
be assistance counselors.
Angels Attic Resale Shop
The resale shop is always in need of volunteers willing to help merchandise and straighten
the store, hang clothes, assist customers, work at the front counter and cashier. If you
enjoy working with the public, have good decorating skills, or enjoy merchandising with
wonderful and unique items then this is a great way to share your talent or interest!
Home Repairs
This is a new service for senior citizens, which depends completely on adult community
volunteers with the appropriate expertise. The CAM staff has a list of seniors who need
various projects done around their home. Activities include painting, cleaning, and basic
carpentry. Older youth are welcome to participate but must have adequate adult supervision
by those who are trained in home repairs.
