Welcome to CAM!

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our Executive Director, Joan Christiansen.  Joan dedicated 23 years to CAM and worked tirelessly to comfort and provide for those in need in our area.  The ministry staff will continue the work of serving the community and we are honored to have been part of her journey. Her presence will be greatly missed.

Services for Joan will be at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church at 10:30 am on Tuesday, Sept. 9th.

If you need to discuss ministry business, please feel free to call Kelly Thomas at 281-955-7684.

Cypress Assistance Ministries is a faith based organization that serves individuals and families in financial crisis, those on the brink of homelessness, the elderly, the unemployed and anyone that needs hope for a better future. Our goal is to restore our neighbors, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to self sufficiency.

Angels’ Attic is a resale shop open six days a week with extremely reasonable prices providing a lovely shopping experience for the entire community.  The counselors in the Client Services office will interview, assess needs and lay out a plan for a family to get back on their feet.  This may include paying a bill, giving food from the Food Pantry, and giving a voucher for Angels’ Attic so that clothing, shoes, dishes, furniture, etc. can be chosen by the client.  Our program, Operation Jobs, can prepare a resume, offer job coaching, and provide use of a computer lab for job searches.  CAM’s Adult Education classes offer GED preparation and English as a Second Language.

We appreciate your interest in CAM and invite you to check out the rest of our website.
